I cannot believe our time in Italy has been over for a week now… It was our first time exploring the country and it was everything I dreamed it would be! Ancient architecture filled the streets, live music and the smell of fresh pizza flooded the squares, the wine is pouring and the cheeses are endless, Italy was really a dream come true!
As always, we took photos everywhere we went and racked up an SD card full of memories. I think Instagram can often make everything seem so picturesque, and to an extent, we want to capture *the best* photo at every location we shoot, but I realized at the beginning of this year that all my favorite photos, truly, are the caught-off-guard, in-the-moment, silly shots, perhaps unfocused, perhaps just a little blurry, but perfect because it really captures our mood in the moment.
I’ve been making an effort to sort out those photos that I really treasure, the ones that will live off the gram but I’ll look back on forever. I knew PicMonkey had a collage function but honestly I had no idea how user friendly and fun it would be to use! At first, I started using PicMonkey to separate the photos that I loved the most, but collage making can seriously get addicting, and I’m loving all the cool effects and graphics PicMonkey offers! I’m gonna have a 500 page scrapbook of these soon!
The two graphics I’ve been loving the most are “Paper Scrap” and “Tape” – they give such a cool vintage-y scrapbook vibe, which is too fun. I’ve also been liking the postal features, I think I’m a little too young for snail mail (lol) but the stamps and fun postal marks are just too cool to not include. I think I’ll actually make some Thanksgiving or Christmas cards this year to send out with PicMonkey, so stay tuned for those, hehe.

I really love seeing all of these beautiful moments. I’ve never been to Italy before, but I would definitely love to someday. Sharing your life on social media can be intimidating and really scary. People are so judgmental these days. But I love how you aren’t afraid to express yourself with your followers and the world through writing and images. As an Asian-American woman, I love seeing other women of color doing big things like this for themselves. Great pictures. Great writing. Overall, great story.
